About:
Kerala, a state situated on the tropical Malabar Coast of southwestern India, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Named as one of the ten paradises of the world by National Geographic Traveler, Kerala is famous especially for its ecotourism initiatives and beautiful backwaters and Hill stations.
Munnar is a town and hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level, in the Western Ghats mountain range. Munnar is also called the "Kashmir of South India" and is a popular honeymoon destination.
Thekkady is located 4 km away from Kumily, a plantation town in Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. It is home to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs.

Itineraries
Day 1
Cochin to Alleppey houseboat Stay
After on arrival meet our representative and drive to Alleppey also known as Venice of the east by its special geographical features as the place is famous for its vast backwater stretches and paddy fields. By 12 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the backwaters and its serene beauty. Enjoy the ride; delicious cuisines and an overnight stay on the boat.
Day 2
Alleppey to Kovalam local and stay
After breakfast and transfer to Kovalam. Check in to Hotel and after fresh up proceed for sightseeing(Light house Beach, Hawa Beach and Ashoka Beach) or ayurvedic spa (optional). Later in the evening visit to Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple by 6.45 pm for Darshan.Return to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam
After breakfast proceed to Kanyakumari and Visit to the Kanyakumari Virgin Goddess Temple. The highlight of the day is the mesmerizing spectacle of sangam (meeting) the three water bodies. You also get the chance to spend some quite time at the Vivekananda rock memorial and enjoy a spectacular sunset there. Return to Kovalam for overnight stay.
Day 4
Kovalam - Thekkady local and stay
After breakfast proceed to Thekkady (Periyar), land of rainforest, wildlife’s and spices. In the Periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wild life reserves in India . It is home to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs . The Peryar wild life sanctuary was declared a tiger reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. The greatest attractions of Periyar are the herds of wild elephants, deer and bison that come down to drink in the lake. The sanctuary can be accessed through a trekking, boating or jeep safari.
Day 5
Thekkady to Munnar local and stay
After check out proceeds to Munnar. Munnar hills, the green Paradise of Kerala with unending expands of Tea Plantations, spice plantations and a variety of flora and fauna. Check in to At Wood Resort and afternoon at leisure/ you can go sightseeing you can enjoy the lovely scenery of Cheeyappara as well as Valara waterfalls and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6
Munnar local and stay
Mattupetty Dam, a beautiful spot for viewing the picturesque Munnar, Kundala Lake- a natural lake with recreational facilities like boating and having an excellent view of the Western Ghats as well as the forest surrounded by TATA Tea Museum, Blossom Park, Hydel Park, etc. Also, visit the echo point and
tea plantation. Afternoon you can visit Eravikulam National Park; which is the habitat to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr.
Day 7
Munnar to Kochi local and drop
proceed back to Kochi. Later we transfer you to Kochi airport for your return journey. Your Kerala tour package ends with sweet and great memories with Grabur Holidays Pvt Ltd.
